The 2019 SBS at USC, Columbia will be the 6th annual SBS, following previous successful symposia at Georgia Tech (2014 and 2015), University of Tennessee Knoxville (2016), University of Georgia (2017), and Florida State University (2018). The symposium will begin with a mixer on Friday evening, and will formally begin on Saturday morning (please arrange to arrive by 9:00AM for registration check-in) and wrap up in the early afternoon on Sunday, with 15-minute talks on Saturday and Sunday, poster sessions on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, and an awards ceremony on Sunday. Cash prizes for the best three talks and posters voted on by the faculty committee will be awarded to encourage participation. Faculty advisors of students and postdocs presenting are highly encouraged to attend with their lab groups.
